Film Review - Interstellar

Not the masterpiece as a lot of people are calling it, but still a great film.

Christopher Nolan continues to make films superior than other Hollywood blockbuster crap, with the exception of The Dark Knight Rises. As everyone has pointed out, the film is a visual treat. It is one of the best cinematic experiences I've ever had. No matter how much you like or dislike Nolan films, cinematography is always a plus. For the film itself, I wasn't blown away as much. Through its 169 minutes runtime, the film manages to be entertaining with the help of its terrific actors and Nolan's direction. Kudos to Zimmer for providing a good and not so Zimmery soundtrack.

The main relationship focus is between a father and his daughter (the son isn't really well developed). Nolan really pushes for the theme of love. The themes are hard to miss as you are constantly reminded by the script. Despite some cliché plot points, occasional off putting dialogue, and slight length/pace issues, Interstellar is a gorgeous, thrilling, and emotional sci-fi saga.
